2017 D Block Pinot Noir

Our D block was chosen as our block designate Pinot Noir for 2017 as the style of the wine is full bodied, rich, fruit forward and with a stronger French oak influence than we have on any of our other Pinot Noirs. The grapes for this wine were harvested at peak maturity and brought into the cellar cold. The fruit was destemmed to 1 ¼ ton fermenters which were then allowed to cold soak for one day prior to starting fermentation. Once fermentation was complete, the must was pressed and the wine transferred to tank for a day of settling before being racked to barrel. The wine remained in barrel for about 10 months before bottling.
2016 Areté Chardonnay

Our estate Chardonnay is planted in two adjoining blocks near the center of our vineyard. Both blocks were established in 1996 and both are planted to Dijon 76 clone.
The dusty gold of this wine compliments the overall aromatic character of desert air. The hot dry desert aromatics are complemented by hints of ripe fig and apple. The palate is rich with some sweetness of ripe pear and baked golden apples.

The wine pairs beautifully with bacon wrapped figs.
2019 ROSÉ OF PINOT NOIR
100% of the grapes used to make this wine are Estate sourced.
Pale Raspberry in color, this refreshing, light bodied Pinot Noir Rosé delivers a bright acidity with a clean, crisp finish. Soft, delicate fruit aromas are reminiscent of watermelon, raspberry, and strawberry. On the palate, it is fruity and crisp; evocative of crabapple and red fruit with a subtle minerality.

Each vineyard parcel was harvested separately, at peak maturity and brought into the cellar cold. The fruit was whole cluster pressed into stainless steel tanks to ferment as their own individual vineyard parcels. Once fermentation was complete, the individual tanks were blended together to build complexity and interest. The 2018 vintage brought generous fruit while retaining the acidity that gives this wine structure and balance.
2018 BRUT BLANC DE NOIRS
In making this wine we realize the full potential of this old world varietal. Fermented in mature, French oak barrels this sparkling is an intricate collection of ripe citrus, creamy caramel and a warm brioche bun with hints of anise, all well complemented on the palate by bright acidity and persistent mousse.
’18 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Each vineyard parcel was harvested separately, at peak maturity and brought into the cellar cold. A blend of Pinot Noir from Chalice Estate Vineyard, Winter’s Hill Vineyard (11%) and Menefee Vineyard (8%), this wine showcases the quality and diversity of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. This is a versatile wine, which will pair well with a variety of foods. The fruit was gently destemmed, into stainless steel tanks and to 1.25 ton open top fermenters, to ferment as individual vineyard parcels. Once fermentation was complete, the tanks and fermenters were pressed separately and then barrel aged. After aging through July the lots were blended together to build complexity.
